Car wash management software in Kenya and across Africa

CarwashManage was built in Nairobi and is used the same way in a roadside wash in Eldoret or a detailing studio in Westlands. Here is what that looks like in each city we serve, including the honest detail of how payments work outside Kenya.

Kenya: fully supported

Kenya is home. Every feature works here, including M-Pesa STK Push from the counter, so the customer only enters their PIN and the payment is matched to the wash. Each branch can use its own Till or Paybill, connected by manual entry, Safaricom Daraja STK Push or Kopo Kopo. Support runs on East Africa Time from our team in Nairobi, by WhatsApp, phone, email or a visit when you are nearby. Amounts and subscriptions are in Kenyan shillings.

Rest of Africa: supported, with manual payments

Car washes in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ghana can use every operations feature today: vehicle check-in, the wash queue, before and after photos, staff commissions, inventory, expenses, loyalty, memberships, reports, multi-branch and customer tracking with WhatsApp notifications. What is different is payments. There is no built-in mobile money integration outside Kenya yet, so staff record each payment against the wash with its method - MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, bank transfer, POS card or cash - and reports split revenue by method so the day still reconciles. Amounts currently display in KES, so please talk to us about your currency before you subscribe.

The same problems, in every city

The weather, the vehicles and the payment apps change from Mombasa to Kigali to Accra. The problems car wash owners tell us about mostly do not. Money that goes missing between the gate and the till. Washers who feel their commission was counted wrong. Stock that runs out without warning. Owners who can't be at the wash all day and only hear what happened through a phone call in the evening.

  • Shampoo, wax and other supplies are counted, with a warning before they run out.
